Hej, I am Tanushree Ishani Das. I recently relocated to Stockholm on the 3rd of February 2024 and I couldn't be more excited to start this new chapter of my life. I like to define myself as a work in progress :) In my life I have played and continue to play many different characters - a daughter, sister, friend, founder CEO to an international skincare company, a wife, pet mom, friend etc. These characters that I play are mostly due to my duties and obligations to others. These are the characters that are my reality, where I need to constantly put up a mask. A mask of courage, bravery, integrity. These characters need me to be at my strongest. The reason I love acting (as a passion)and I want to continue it more seriously is because I want to play characters that help me own, accept, admit and celebrate my vulnerabilities; characters where I do not wear but rather pull out my mask; characters where I play not to embrace but escape reality; characters I want to play that will help me relieve memories, incidents and stories that did not happen in my reality. I want to pursue acting not because it will be an obligation but rather a surrender to passion. One might ask after pursuing a career of 'serious' professions why acting? Well, life has been kind to help me restart and if not now then when? Yes, I am 35 and age might not be to my advantage but I come with experience, a broken heart and pain. Do not mistake me to be a cinema buff or someone who has been to acting school or knows everything about movie making. I am someone who just likes to flow at the moment. I am also a coffee enthusiast and I hope to start a store where I offer Sweden the best of Indian speciality coffee and crafts. I am a devoted pet mom to my 3 year old baby girl (Shih Tzu) called Leia. I am enjoying the weather, my walks, settling into my new life. I am looking forward to making new connections, definitely learning Swedish (it is my priority), achieve my financial and emotional independence, get into fitness, be a better version than yesterday. I can also add my additional expertise in marketing such as capturing BTS (behind the scenes); create content for Casting Sweden; organise team and group activities to maintain a good community; coordinating with different brands for collaborations with Acasting talents etc. I truly hope I get opportunities to showcase my talents. I understand language could be an issue as I do not speak Swedish but we live in times where diversity is widely celebrated and I am sure I can add my bit.
