I’m Mariana Costa, a Brazilian/Italian artist. I'm 43 years old and currently live in Stockholm, Sweden. As a dancer and choreographer, I have a strong background in body movement and physical expression. I worked and studied contemporary dance in Brazil and Europe, and I completed a Master's degree in Choreography at Stockholms Konstnärliga Högskola (2022). In addition, I've studied physical theatre, clown technique, and Yoga in Brazil, my mother country. I've created and showcased several dance pieces at festivals, galleries, and venues worldwide, such as 'The Chicken,' 'Ter(e)mim,' 'Intrapelícula,' and 'Membranes Project.' I've also collaborated with various choreographers and artists, including Gustavo Ciríaco and QUARTO Collective. From 2017 to 2020, I performed the dance piece 'Monstra,' directed by Elisabete Finger and Manuela Eichner, presented at Moderna Museet Malmö and other venues. Before moving to Stockholm, I worked extensively in the audiovisual industry in Brazil, both in front of and behind the camera. As an actress, performer, and dancer, I appeared in advertising films and music videos. I also worked as a movement director, set and costume designer, and casting assistant in other projects in the same field. I've also worked as a photography model for various artist projects - photography, fine arts, live drawings - and advertising campaigns. Since 2023, I've been pursuing my acting career in Europe. In Stockholm, I've worked as an actress, talent, dancer, or extra (statist) in advertising films and photoshoots. I'm excited to bring my unique perspective as a dancer and choreographer to projects in this field.
